Today we welcomed Jack to Room 3!! Jack had his first day of school today! Mom and Dad, Emily and Ian, dropped him off. Jack was very into the curlers and room exploration. He was not so into Mom and Dad not being there, but he was very brave despite. He WAS into watching his very busy peers and joining Team Teething- you are among your people Jack! We are so happy you are here! Also, we celebrated two more birthdays recently... ![]() Mia is ONE! Ben and Liz came in to sing and help us continue the celebration of the ONE-derful Mia! And ROSA turned one too! Erin came in on Monday and continued the raspberry birthday party in addition to reading Rosa's favorite Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What do you hear? YAY for one run around the sun Rosa, and YAYYYY for YOU!! *** Exploration of holes and in-and-out continues! We see variations overt and incidental all over the classrooms but the two new attractions are the shleves and the hole wall. The shelves have been adapted from storage space to tunnels. Every so often a train of two or three children take to the tunnels and climb and reach and squeak through the quadrants. They watch and follow each other. Our small square of honeycomb board has expanded (thanks to kind donations from the greater community) and the hole wall is also seeing a lot of interest- in and out, toss and find, poke and pull. And thanks to your box donations, they are also starting to explore the options. Especially putting themselves in and out!
