Everyone, meet James!
And his parents, John and Stephanie.

What is even more fun and satisfying than welcoming a new friend- is having other friends there who are already settled-in and ready to greet someone new! Greet they did- smiles, waves and pats all-round.  James methodically explored the classroom, tenderly picking up materials and watching friends as they watched him.

Everyone was VERY impressed with his signature mode of movement.

So excited you are here, James.
We can't wait to learn with and from you!

Meanwhile other friends explored some materials both familiar and novel.
Mia took her time and determination to reach and grasp caps and straws.
And Rosie and Ben began poking around some clay.
Rowan and Rosie tracked big friends outside,
And Rosa took a particular liking to a particular platypus and peach.
A good day.
